In Summary...
We have an exciting opportunity for a People Advisor to join our team at our smol site ('Dana') in Paddock Wood, Kent. We are looking for someone who is passionate about people, the planet and creating a positive environment for our staff. In turn, you will get solid generalist experience in a fast-moving, growing business where you will be able to help shape our culture and people strategy . You will report directly to the site’s People and Culture Manager, and will be the first point of contact for all people questions and problems, escalating to the right person to help resolve and respond where needed.
What does the role involve?...
Supporting employee case management - including addressing people issues such as absence management, health and wellbeing, and disciplinary and grievance cases. this would involve carrying out investigations, supporting managers with meetings and sharing information with those who need to know.
General people administration like managing the onboarding and offboarding process, return to work forms, updating HiBob (our people data management system), amending terms and conditions, payroll reporting and benefits administration.
Helping to schedule training sessions, collecting feedback and measuring the effectiveness of our learning and development and performance management programmes
Managing the recruitment process, reviewing job descriptions, managing our ATS (we use Team Tailor), briefing recruiters and supporting managers with reviewing and selection, creating contracts and offer letters. you'll also be building/maintaining partnerships with external organisations and recruiters, all to help us build a strong candidate pool for the smol team
Helping to coordinate and communicate team social events, and smol voice sessions. taking feedback onboard and making things happen!
Making sure the team are kept up to date on dana and company information through various communication channels
Working closely with management and health and safety to develop and deliver physical and mental wellbeing initiatives for the dana team
You will need/be...
a passion for working with people and growing a great workplace culture
proven experience of delivering people focused processes and practices in a fast-moving operational environment, ideally within manufacturing
able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of confidentiality
knowledge of employment legislation would be an advantage but not essential
a fair and impartial approach to resolving issues
great IT skills (we primarily use google workspace and microsoft office ) and comfortable working with data management systems
a proactive nature, and ability to problem solve and identify better ways of working
the ability to manage multiple work streams and prioritise effectively whilst managing people’s expectations
good attention to detail as smol things can make a big difference
an effective communicator and the ability to build strong relationships throughout the business and externally

Applicants must have current work authorisation in the UK.
This role is based on-site at our warehouse in Paddock Wood. While there may be some opportunities for home-working, the majority of time will be spent in the office, supporting our on-site production teams.
