We are looking for an R&D manager to join our marketing team. Reporting to the CMO, you will bring expertise and excellence to our long term product and ingredient strategy, bringing this thinking into our innovation plans, sustainability work and all communication to our customers.
What does this role involve?
Define and drive our ingredient strategy, what we use, when, why / why not, ensuring our products deliver superb performance and lead the way in accessible sustainability.
Play a key role in developing and driving our 3 - 5 year strategy, particularly with respect to sustainability (ingredients, performance, sourcing)
Support the team on individual innovation projects
Be in constant dialogue with suppliers and external bodies for best practice, bringing this into our innovation plans for both new and existing products
Be our regulatory expert, responsible for all claims and labelling, guiding our communications, packaging and through to marketing, customer service and social media teams, helping us communicate clearly with customers
You will need / be:
5+ years R & D / Product Development experience in household (and / or personal care categories), you will bring absolute knowledge and expertise in the key components of products such as laundry, dishwash and surface sprays
Degree level chemistry assumed
Strong experience and knowledge of UK regulatory environment and labelling, you must be really confident in the key regulatory bodies and processes, you will be our expert in not only ingredient strategy but also all product labelling, claims and communication
Passionate about working in a startup environment and driving eco-friendly sustainable lifestyles for everyone
An excellent team player and communicator. This role will have multiple “customers” and stakeholders, you will need to clearly and effectively communicate across the whole team.
