We are looking for an innovation manager to join our marketing team. Reporting to the CMO, you will join a small, very fast paced team working together to bring exciting, breakthrough product ideas to life.
What does this role involve?
Take the lead on a number of innovation projects, defining and owning the project plan and its delivery on time, in full.
Define and deliver the marketing mix; product, pack, claims, ingredients….all alongside the CMO and Creative Director.
Work with our suppliers and internal Supply Chain team to source the very best products, at the best price, always fulfilling our demands for more eco-friendly, high performing products at a price that is accessible to all.
Own the commercial plan, interrogating the numbers to bring the very best, viable mix to market.
Be in daily contact with our marketing team, CMO, creative team, suppliers, finance.
Search for suppliers and people doing breakthrough work; stay on top of market trends, consumer data, consumer needs and competitor activity.
Think, work and communicate quickly and clearly.
You will need / be:
Minimum 3 years experience in UK brand marketing or innovation.
MUST have experience of project management. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable leading a team of external and internal stakeholders, able to work quickly, smartly, to be able to pivot as project needs change, all the while leading others to an excellent launch.
Must have really strong B2C experience, we’re looking for someone who really understands brands and their relationship with consumers.
By definition you will be an excellent communicator.
Really organised. You need to love a timing plan and be comfortable with multiple moving parts.
Curious and externally focused, excited to dig around and find out what’s possible, knowing when to stop, be decisive and move on.
Proactive, hands on, there is no typical day, but you will love the pace and diversity of innovation in a start-up.
Passionate about working in a startup environment and driving eco-friendly sustainable lifestyles for everyone.
Ideally have experience in DTC or e-commerce, demonstrating an understanding of how businesses like smol really work.
